Every now and then a particular phrase or word catches me and I make a goal to try to ‘drop it’ in casual conversation. My new favorite phrase is:”…numinous in the quotidian…”I heard it on one of my favorite pod casts TWIT. They were quoting some sophisticated book review magazine.It is a great phrase, all to often with “$20 words” like this, it is hard to find an appropriate context in which to use them. I doubt I’ll have any trouble with this one. I suspect I’ll have to show some restraint.

Yea, that’d start getting creepy if you started using that one every other sentence. I’d be hard pressed to use it all, I think. And, yes, I did have to look it up.
